but because of the way we separated 

Just when magnolias bloom

Once in a while, I mumble to myself 

That what makes me sad is

Not because we separated

But because of the way we separated.

What I want is

Not that we get back together again

But we meet again

And separate in a different way,

Only that can save our bygone love.
