Another spring
Another spring
I have my own jinxed spring theory.
Once I have heart-warming summer, fall, and winter,
spring season came with a heartbreaking season.
Wherever I go, whatever I do, or whenever I turn my eyes outside,
I couldn't help but realize that another spring has come.
All the eye-catching flowers and trees blossoming and blown by the wind tortured me.
They shout that there is always a bunch of hope and beauty I have to hold.
And it was such a meddling but undeniable disturbance from nature.
I cannot remember any spring that I was able to embrace with full of joy and affection with someone who is heart-warming just like the sunlight tickling all the rising green.
But the only thing I can feel certain and reassured of is,
for me, spring has always been the season of change.
Change of environment.
Change of worrisome.
Change of habits.
Change of shelter.
Change of taste in music.
Change of places and people I enjoy being with.
As usual,
the next spring in 2024 will be invariably different.
Although being in the phase of change let our nerves on edge and make us have cold feet,
transition and variety always suit the youth.
Hence, we ought to greet changes with waving and welcoming delight.
A footstep that soon will be moving will relocate soon after to the unknown.
So if we are going to set foot,
let's make footfall cheerful, stride musical, and gaze somewhere distant and higher.
